Academic GP Teaching Program

For the academic GP teaching program, we are specifically looking for GPs who have specialist registration with AHPRA & no conditions attached.

Are you passionate about teaching medical students and do you possess relevant experience? Are you seeking to join a practice that prioritizes superior healthcare and is dedicated to contributing to the development of future generations of physicians?

  • Academic GP positions are available in limited numbers for GPs who meet the selection criteria.

  • Some 19AB exemptions may be accessible.

  • All practices have a strong track record of supporting new GPs and medical students, and are well-established.

    What you can expect

  • Participating practices are all well established.

  • With an academic position you will be teaching medical students on average for 1 day a week on an ongoing basis.

  • You will continue to earn your normal consulting fees as well as receiving teaching incentives. 

    Requirements

  • No AHPRA restrictions or conditions

  • You must have specialist registration as a GP

  • MRCGP & MICGP desirable
